The Surgical and Anatomical Science Facility has a world-class suite of training and support laboratories which include:
- Surgical Skills Laboratories – there are two surgical skills laboratories at the Facility, housing 16 dedicated workstations across the two spaces. Each state-of-the-art workstation has the latest in audio visual technology, ceiling mounted monitors, theatre lights, and recording facilities.
- Plastination Laboratory – the Facility also houses the only human plastination laboratory in NSW. This specialist laboratory is currently used to develop undergraduate teaching material for the UTS anatomical training programs and will also service other external clients in the near future.
- Break out spaces and presentation rooms – the Facility has access to several break out and meeting spaces, which includes presentation rooms, fully equipped science laboratories and food and beverage services.
All our facilities are well equipped with the latest audio visual equipment, which includes both “at workstation” video as well as large screen monitors at the room periphery to support larger training groups.
