I started my marketing career in Colombia when I was 21, feeling pretty settled in my career. However, it was time for a change, and I wanted to learn more about marketing. So my friend who studied at UTS said, "Hey, Sydney is a great city. Why don't you just apply and see what happens?" So I did, and I got accepted at UTS Business School.

My name is Jose Rodriguez, and I've been living and working in Sydney ever since doing my Master's degree in Marketing at UTS. After my first month here, I was like, okay, I love this place - this is where I want to be. So I'm going to do my best to stay. The people around me were the most important thing in helping me to settle into Sydney, and I was lucky enough that I had a very good support system here.

I also learned a lot about networking from UTS Careers. I learned so much from the people around me - their different cultures, and their ways of problem-solving. Their passion and their dedication to their work was really inspiring.

Fast forward 5 years, and I'm now the associate director at a market research agency. Now working with the innovation team, using solutions based on concept testing, AI, and neural marketing. I love what I'm doing, and every day is different, and I'm able to use the skills I had learned from my time on campus.
